JustinBieber is getting some help from Ludacris in learning the ways of puppylove for his new track “Baby,” off his March release, My World (PartII). But the teen superstar says that just because he’s hanging withthe rapper on the track doesn’t mean he’s about to put out some rapmusic of his own anytime soon.

“Well, [Ludacris and I] both live in Atlanta. I met him a year prior tothis and we figured it was a perfect collaboration for him, so weinvited him out to do it,” Bieber told MTV News on the set of the“Baby” video, adding that he hasn’t gotten any career advice from therapper and doesn’t plan on spitting rhymes himself. “No, [he didn'tgive me any advice]. I mean, he’s a rapper; he doesn’t sing. No, [I'mnot planning on rapping]. Not at all. Nope.”

Ludacris says the video is like a 2010 version of Michael Jackson’s“The Way You Make Me Feel,” and Bieber says it will capture the song’smessage of trying to woo back a girl.

“It starts off, I really like this girl, but we didn’t [get] along; wecouldn’t be together,” he said. “Basically I want her back and [I'm]kind of going through the whole thing. I’m chasing her around, tryingto get her, and she’s kind of playing hard to get, but I’m persistent.I keep going.”

On set that day was fellow Canadian superstar Drake, who shot a cameofor the video. But if you’re expecting any cameos from him in the clip,that’s not going to happen. “He’s just one of my good buddies. He’shere to hang out,” Bieber said, adding that if you want to know whoelse may pop up on the album, “you’ll have to see when it comes out inMarch.”
While Bieber was comfortable with kissing hisfemale lead in the video, Ludacris admits that he had to dig deep tocome up with lyrics appropriate for the teen’s song. “He’s talkingabout [how] he’s mad that his girl left him and he still cares forher,” he said. “As soon as I heard it I knew it was a hit, I just hadto figure out how I could get on a record with a 15-year-old. So I satthere and said, ‘Let me reminisce on the past,’ and that’s basicallyhow I stepped on the record. And I guarantee you, mark my word, that’sgoing to be one of the biggest songs of the year 2010.”
While Ludacris and Bieber aren’t very similar musically, it turns outthat their personalities are a lot more alike than you might think.“When I first met Justin, man, I felt like he’s definitely a little shyat first,” Luda said. “I understand. I’m kind of the same way till Iget comfortable with my surroundings, and then it’s just all out, justwild. Oh man, his career is just starting.
